The 35th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others) was broadcast on May 16th, and viewers were drawn to the preview of the following week's episode, "Encounter and Parting," which was released after the main story.
In episode 35, one day as graduation from a women's normal school draws near, Nobu (Imada) is told by Kuroi ( Kumi Takiuchi) that the sender of the letter, "Takashi Yanai," may be a fake name. Kuroi is suspicious of their relationship, but Nobu tells him how Takako's (Takumi Kitamura) paintings saved her. She goes on to say that she doesn't think she'll receive any more letters. Kuroi tells Nobu, "You're weak after all," and reveals her own sad past to her.
Meanwhile, Nobu's post-graduation assignment is decided. In March 1938, Nobu graduates from the Women's Normal School and takes a step towards a new life... and so the story unfolds.
In the preview for next week's episode, which was released after the main story ended, a new character, Jiro Wakamatsu(Ayumu Nakajima), appears. There is also a scene where Jiro asks, "Would you like to be my lifelong partner?"
Jiro is Nobu's first matchmaking partner. He graduated from a maritime academy and works as a first engineer. The chief engineer's father is an acquaintance of Nobu's late father, Yutaro (Ryo Kase). Jiro himself once met Yutaro on a ship. His hobby is photography.
On social media, comments such as "Nobu-chan has been proposed to...!", "A rival for Taku appears!", "What will Taku and Chihiro do?", "Her partner is Ayumu Nakajima, so this is no good, they'll end up together" and "Nobu-chan, just get married!" were posted.
