It has been announced that the "Happy Set ' Chiikawa '", a collaboration between Nagano's popular manga " Chiikawa " and McDonald's children's menu "Happy Set", will be on sale at McDonald's restaurants nationwide from May 16th. Until now, the bonus in Happy Sets has been stickers, but this time toys of Chiikawa as McDonald's crew members will be included as a bonus for the first time.
The lineup will include eight items, including stationery featuring Chiikawa and friends working hard as McDonald's crew members. The first wave (May 16-22) will include a pen stand called "Chiikawa Drink Cup Pen Holder," a calendar called "Hachiware McDonald's Calendar," a small item holder called "Rabbit's Petit Pancake Case," and a tape measure called "Otter's Drive Rolling Tape Measure."
The second wave (May 23-29) will have a lineup of memo set "Chiikawa's Memo Set", photo frame "Hachiware Happy Meal Photo Frame", sticker dispenser "Rabbit Sticker Dispenser", and pencil cap "Moon Squirrel Ball Sign Pencil Cap". The "Toy Box" that contains the toys will have a design of Chiikawa and friends wearing the uniforms of McDonald's past crew members. The box designs for the first and second waves are different.
In the third round (starting May 30th), you can receive one of the eight toys that were released in the first and second rounds.
McDonald's official account (@McDonaldsJapan) will be running a giveaway campaign in which 100 people will be chosen by lottery to win an original Mac card with a character design. To enter, follow the account and quote a post with the hashtag "Chiikawa Happy Set" from the account, adding "Chiikawa Happy Set". The campaign will run from 9:00 am to 11:59 pm on May 15th.
