The third and final film in the "Gamera" monster movie series' "Heisei Trilogy," "Gamera 3: Awakening of Iris" (1999), will be broadcast on BS12 TwellV from 7 p.m. on May 6th.
Ayana Hirasaka, who lost her parents in the battle between Gamera and Gyaos, hates Gamera intensely. One day, Ayana discovers a mysterious creature in a cave. She names it Iris and takes good care of it.
Meanwhile, two Hyper Gyaos fly into Shibuya, Tokyo. Gamera fights them off, but the damage caused is so great that the government considers Gamera to be more dangerous than Gyaos. Eventually, it is revealed that Iris is a mutant form of Gyaos...
