The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Nishika Hachi, which is currently being serialized on the manga app "Comic DAYS" (Kodansha). It depicts the love story that begins in 1936, when Natsumi, who was suddenly proposed to and married on zero days after dating, and Ebata Takimasa (Honda Kyoya), who works for the Imperial Navy, begin their married life together.
"It's the second night after we met," said Natsumi, who was standing in front of the two futons on the second night since she met Takitakado, wondering, "Should we keep them apart?" or "Is it better to have them close together?"
"Tonight is the real wedding night, right?" she thought nervously as she tried to pull the futon closer, when Takimasa came over.
In a panic, Natsumi pretends to smooth out the wrinkles in the futon. Pretending to be calm, she calls out to Takimasa, "Oh, that was quick. Did you have a nice, relaxing bath?"
Regarding this scene, comments were posted on social media such as, "I love Kyoko Yoshine's easy-going acting," "Kyoko Yoshine is so cute and fits the role of the slightly comical new bride who is by no means ladylike," "It was a drama that made my heart flutter and cleansed my soul.
