" Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin" is set in the mid-Edo period and depicts the common people who work hard and use their wits to succeed in business, while incorporating a variety of customs. In Season 1, which aired in 2023, the main character Sachi (Koshiba) marries Tomozo (Leo Matsumoto), the sixth-generation owner of Gosuzuya, and begins selling "Hamahabutae" from New Year's as a desperate plan to revive the struggling Gosuzuya.
Season 2 is the "Edo Edition." It begins immediately after Season 1, with Sachi and Chizo expanding the store and realizing the dream of the previous owner of Gosuzuya, to open a store in Edo, but Sachi is hit by a series of sad events.
