The third episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Caster " starring Hiroshi Abe (Sunday 9pm) will be broadcast on April 27th.
In the previous episode, Nawa (Takayuki Suzuki), the ace of the Japanese volleyball world, was suspected of not only online gambling but also match fixing, linked to the sports betting tipster "ALLAN" that boasts an 80% accuracy rate. In the end, it was revealed that Nawa had nothing to do with online gambling or match fixing.
When announcer Koike ( Kanato Tsukishiro) revealed that Nawa had proposed to her, Motohashi (Shunsuke Michieda) said, "I heard that Nawa is going to Europe."
Koike replied, "Yes. I heard that she will undergo surgery there and pursue her dream once again." When Hana (Mei Nagano) asked, "So, will Koike also go overseas?" Koike revealed that she would postpone her marriage and declared that she would continue as a sub Caster on the program.
Meanwhile, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hanyu (Kinya Kitaoji) suddenly dies. JBN Chairman Kunisada (Hideki Takahashi) says with a grin, "I'm so grateful that you passed away before me. You took your secret to the grave."
Episode 3: Shinomiya Kaede (Non), a researcher at Teito University, announces a new type of pluripotent cell called "iL cells." This groundbreaking discovery surpasses the IVS cells of Professor Takasaki (Toshiyuki Tsuyoshi) of the Institute of Histology, who won the Nobel Prize, and is expected to revolutionize regenerative medicine, drawing worldwide attention. However, for some reason, Shinomiya refuses to be interviewed. Suspicions of fraud begin to circulate on social media.
Professor Kuribayashi (Inowaki Kai), who is supporting her research, was Motohashi's senior in college, and an exclusive interview with her is scheduled for Newsgate.
On the day of the interview, Hana and Motohashi nervously watch Shindo (Abe) wondering if he will say something inappropriate. Shindo is also doing his own interview with another person, and when the interview between the two of them is broadcast, it causes a big fuss...
The drama is set in a television news program and is a socially conscious entertainment piece that pursues the truth buried in the darkness and brings evil to justice.
