Model and actor Meru Nukumi at the 3D dubbing premiere event for the movie "Minecraft: The Movie" (directed by Jared Hess, to be released on April 25) held in Tokyo on April 24th, the day before its release. Ikumi, who tried her hand at dubbing a live-action movie for the first time in this film, was praised by voice actor Koichi Yamadera for her voice acting, and there was a moment of joy.
Ikumi, who was in charge of dubbing the role of Natalie, played by Emma Myers, said, "I am honored to have the opportunity to participate in such an amazing production. When I tried it, it was so difficult, and I learned a lot from everyone. I realized that it is a job that requires a lot of physical strength."
Regarding Ikumi's voice acting, Yamadera said, "It's exactly like Natalie. That's extremely difficult. I was wondering how she does it? I heard that she doesn't have much experience, so when I saw the dubbed version I was surprised and thought 'Wow!' It's really amazing." In response, Ikumi smiled and said, "That's so kind... Thank you. I'll do my best! I'm happy!"
In addition to Ikumi and Yamadera, Hiroki Yasumoto, Kano Eiko, and HIKAKIN also attended the event.
