The Fuji TV Getsuku drama "Second to Last Love 3 " (Mondays at 9pm) starring Kyoko Koizumi and Kiichi Nakai has released the synopsis and stills from the third episode, which will air on April 28th.
Junior high school student Nagakura Wahei was in trouble because a classmate suddenly gave him a pornographic magazine. After returning home, Wahei hid it under his bed, but the next day his mother found it. His mother told him that he wanted him to understand that the image of women in the book was a lie. Wahei burst into tears, feeling self-loathing for having made his classmate tell the story.
After hearing about the "Wahei pornographic book crying incident," Chiaki Yoshino (Koizumi) comes to understand how Wahei (Nakai) was raised. She learns that this has shaped Wahei's current "view of women," and advises him that "relationships between people are all about catch."
Mizutani Noriko (Iijima Naoko) is secretly dieting to appear in the magazine's "Yukebijin" gravure photo shoot. When she comes to Chiaki's house at night, she tells him about her worries about her life as a full-time housewife. She feels like they are the ones taking their lives for granted as women. Chiaki is confused by her words, but cheers her up with a toast.
At the same time, Wahei and Chiaki's family doctor, Naruse Senji (Miura Tomokazu), happen to be sitting next to each other at an izakaya and hit it off. Despite it being their first meeting, they decide to play catch. Wahei, who is the one who catches the ball both in his family and at work, reveals that he has never thrown the ball with all his might. Naruse takes up the catcher's mitt and says, "I'll catch it." Wahei's eyes well up with tears at Naruse's spirit.
Later, Wahei is invited to dinner by Kamakura's mayor, Ryoko Isayama (Rie Shibata). Wahei hears some unbelievable words from the mayor, for whom he was the secretary.
The script is written by Yoshikazu Okada, who also wrote the first and second seasons. Set in Kamakura, the story depicts the love between a TV station producer played by Koizumi and a Kamakura city employee played by Nakai. The theme song is sung by Ayumi Hamasaki, who also sang the theme song for the first and second seasons.
