The 16th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sundays at 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "Farewell Gennai, the Viewer is Horai", was broadcast on April 20th, and it was found that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 9.6% for households and 5.3% for individuals.
" UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have laid the foundations for Japan's media industry and pop culture.
In the 16th episode, Tsutaju (Yokohama) visits Gennai (Ken Yasuda Ken) at his mansion, known as the "unlucky house," and asks him to write a new play for the New Year, but is concerned by his strange behavior. Just then, he receives news that "Gennai has killed someone." In prison, Gennai tells Okitsugu(Ken Watanabe) about the "mansion construction story" that Okitsugu requested, but Okitsugu himself has no idea about it.
Towards the end of the film, Tsutaju visits Okitsugu 's mansion with Ichibei Suharaya ( Kotaro Satomi ) and others. Tsutaju claims that the manuscript of "The Gloves of Death" written by Gennai has a continuation, and that there was evidence that it had been taken away, so there must have been "someone else" there.
However, after reading the manuscript of "The Gloves of Death," Okitsugu is somewhat hesitant to uncover the truth, even saying, "The way he is now (Gennai) might do it." Meanwhile, when news of Gennai's death in prison is announced, Tsutae, perhaps in shock, confronts Okinobu as he Okitsugu to leave, saying, "Didn't Tanuma-sama want Gennai-sensei to die? Didn't Tanuma-sama have some kind of shady connection with Gennai-sensei?"
At this point, Okitsugu turns around and admits, "There are heaps of stories between me and Gennai that would be bad if they were to leak out," before adding, "It's scary when a fox possessed person blurts out something." However, Tsutae, who is not convinced, continues to yell abuse, even as he is held down by those around him, saying, "Banghachi... you bastard!" Behind the scenes, Okitsugu cries and regrets, saying, "Gennai... didn't I tell you? For your sake, forget about it."... and so on and so forth.
