On April 21, Tadayoshi Okura of the popular group "SUPER EIGHT" attended the 40th anniversary collaboration project announcement event for the izakaya chain "Torikizoku" with his father, Tadashi Okura, the founder of "Torikizoku" and CEO of Eternal Hospitality Group Co., Ltd. This was the first time that father and son have performed together in public.
To commemorate Torikizoku's 40th anniversary on May 1, 2025, the chain will be collaborating with Tadayoshi-san, who is also celebrating his 40th birthday this year. In addition to offering a limited-edition menu created by Tadayoshi-san and giving away commemorative novelty goods, a number of projects will be rolled out, including the revival of Torikizoku's first store, the Shuntoku branch, for a limited time.
The two of them usually hang out drinking together, discussing business matters, etc. When Tadayoshi said, "I've been watching over the restaurant since it first opened, so I think I've grown up watching my father," Tadashi retorted with a smile, "You idiot!"
When asked why he had never publicly revealed that he was the eldest son of Torikizoku's founder, Okura revealed, "Even though my father had always supported me in my career as a celebrity, he once told me, 'I don't want to become famous because of the name of the company you're working for,' and that bothered me, so I always tried not to tell anyone."
