It has been announced that the world's largest rice field art will be created with the theme of the new film trilogy " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yaiba the Movie: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc ," an anime adaptation of the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge Gotouge. The world's largest rice field art has been carried out in Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture since 2008 as the "Rice Field Art Rice Growing Experience Project," and in 2015 it was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the "largest rice field art" (area 27,195 square meters). "Demon Slayer: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc" has been chosen as the theme for the rice field art in 2025.
A design was also released that depicts the main character , Tanjiro Kamado , covering an entire rice field. Rice planting is scheduled for June, and the best time to see the rice fields will be from late July onwards. The rice fields will be unveiled on July 18th, the release date of the first movie.
It was also announced that a stage greeting will be held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on May Getsuku , in response to the revival screening of the hugely popular movie " Mugen Train " that was released in October 2020. Natsuki Hanae , who plays Tanjiro, and Satoshi Hino , who plays Kyojuro Rengoku , will be on stage.
The story of " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is about Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, joining the Demon Slaying Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a demon, back into a human. The original was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The total number of copies of the comics published is over 150 million.
The TV anime "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" was broadcast from April to September 2019, and the movie version "Mugen Train" released in October 2020 was a huge hit, grossing approximately 40 billion yen, the highest ever box office revenue in Japan. The "Entertainment District Arc" was broadcast from December 2021 to February 2022, the "Swordsmith Village Arc" from April to June 2023, and the "Hashira Training Arc" from May to June 2024.
"Infinity Castle Arc" is a new anime following "Hashira Training Arc" and will be produced as part of a theatrical trilogy. The first chapter will be released on July 18th at 443 cinemas, the largest number yet for the series. From April 4th, a special edition of "Demon Slayer: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Theater - Special Edition Theatrical Screening of "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" to "Hashira Training Arc" will be shown.
