It has been announced that Shonentai's Kazukiyo Nishikori and Katsuhide Uekusa will appear on "MUSIC CROSS," which will be broadcast on BS-TBS from 9:00 pm on April 13th. This will be the first time in 18 years that Nishikori and Uekusa will appear together on television.
Nishikori and Uekusa performed their signature songs, such as "Masked Ball," "Only for You," and "Decameron Densetsu." Their junior colleague, Nakayama Yuuma, appeared as a special guest and the three enthusiastically sang Shonentai's song "Oh!!," which Nakayama said he would "like to try." They also shared stories of memories that they could only talk about now with MC Sekine Tsutomu, creating a buzz in the studio.
--Has it been a long time since you sang "Masquerade" on TV?
Nishikori: I think it's been a long time since I've been on TV. I've performed on stage, though.
Uekusa-san: I'm not nervous at all, I'm just scared. I haven't even practiced the choreography! I haven't done anything! I'm wondering what I'm going to do (laughs).
--Today you will be performing with the next generation of singers, including "Only for You" with Shinhama Leon, "Decameron Legend" with Hana MENgumi, and "Oh!!" with Nakayama Yuma.
Nishikori: We worked together recently with Shinhama Leon. That kind of feel is similar to us, isn't it? He does something similar to that (Shounentai), so it's great!
Uekusa-san: I don't know yet what will happen, so I have to give it a try. But I'm really looking forward to it.
--Please tell us what the viewers should look out for.
Uekusa-san: It's been a long time since we've done four Shonentai songs. And it's just the two of us. Even when we've done it just the two of us, we haven't done that many Shonentai songs, if I remember correctly.
Sekine-san: Well, it's a rare episode! It's a divine episode! This one! It features a bunch of Shonentai's great songs! And it involves the younger generation, right? I really want everyone to see this crossover!
