Daisuke Ono , a popular voice actor known for his roles as Jotaro Kujo in the anime series " JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Bizarre Adventure" and Sebastian Michaelis in the " Black Butler " series, appeared in the May issue of the women's fashion magazine "Oggi" (Shogakukan), which went on sale on March 28. Ono appeared in the magazine's serial "Mimikoi: I Want to Hear the Voice of My Favorite," which features original photos of popular voice actors, wearing a double-breasted jacket and showing off his adult sexiness.
Ono, who has continued to appear in various productions since he began his career in 2002, has received numerous awards, including the Best Actor award at the 4th Seiyuu Awards in 2010. Looking back at his time in his 30s, Ono talks about dubbing the Black Butler series as a big hurdle that stood in his way at the time.
The first season of the TV anime "Black Butler" began airing in October 2008, about 17 years ago. "The first dubbing session took more than five hours to record 23 minutes of content. But it wasn't finished, and I had to stay behind. I didn't get the OK to even say, 'Yes, My Lord,' and it felt like everything I'd done up until then was being denied."
Ono said that what helped him overcome his struggles was a certain realization. "I realized it would be presumptuous to think that I could do it all on my own. A work is not something that one person makes by themselves; it is something that all the staff and cast members bring their own strengths to the table and express through their combined strengths."
A new series of "Black Butler", "Black Butler : The Emerald Witch Arc", will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other stations on April 5th. This is the seventh anime series, and as the series progresses, the character he plays is gradually changing, he said, expressing his thoughts that "I too need to continue to change, rather than just following the same methods as in the past."
