Karin Yamamoto, who attracted attention for her role as Nitta Koharu in "Mass-Produced Luka - The Blue Counterattack of the Plastic Model Club Members" (TV Tokyo), which aired in July this year, has recently been revealed to be appearing as a regular cast member in TV Osaka's drama series "I'm Writing Erotic Novels in the Reiwa Era."
"Making Erotic Novels in the Reiwa Era" is a unique work-related drama set in an erotic novel editorial department. It stars comedian Yoshimi Tokui of the comedy duo "Tutorial" and actor and model Nashiko Momotsuki. Tokui plays Tamagawa Jouji, the calm and passionate editor-in-chief who brings together the diverse personalities of the erotic novel editorial department, while Momotsuki plays Oizumi Mashiro, a new editor who dreams of becoming a manga editor but is unexpectedly assigned to the erotic novel editorial department.
Yamamoto was born on March 24, 2003, and is 22 years old and hails from Kumamoto Prefecture. Last year, she won the Director Ryuichi Hiroki Award at the bijoux AUDITION 2024 audition, hosted by the talent agency bijoux, and entered the entertainment industry. She has since appeared in TV dramas such as "Class 3-C is Having an Affair" (Nippon TV, 2024), "Love Revolution" (ABC TV, 2025), and "Missing Persons Search Team: The Vanished Truth" (TV Tokyo, same network).
In "I'm Writing an Erotic Novel in the Reiwa Era," she plays Tamagawa Yura, the daughter of Tamagawa (Tokui), who is proud of her father, the editor-in-chief.
In addition to Yamamoto, Takahata Yu, Tsukumo Kosuke, Naito Shuichiro, Nishino Ryo, Saori, Yagi Nana, Endo Kumiko, Hoshida Hidetoshi, Ryoga Haruhi, and Kurasu Kou will appear as regular cast members. The drama's key visual was also released, and it was also announced that the opening theme will be "Anti-Vacuumer" by the idol group "#Mooove!". A trailer using the song has also been released.
"I'm Writing Erotic Novels in the Reiwa Era" will be broadcast on TV Osaka every Wednesday at midnight starting January 7, 2026. It will also be available for unlimited streaming exclusively on DMMTV from 12:30 a.m. on the same day.
