A new visual for the third season of the TV anime series Oshi no Ko, based on the popular manga currently being serialized in Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha), was released on March 22nd, with a teaser visual, "side Aqua." This visual is a counterpart to the teaser visual, "side Ruby," released in February this year, and shows Aqua, who has given up on her revenge, going to pick someone up in the rain, while Ruby is calling someone. A video commemorating the release of the new visual featuring Aqua was also released on YouTube.
The "Introduction" for the third season was also released. The story will unfold to a new stage. Half a year has passed since the release of B-Komachi's song "POP IN 2", and thanks to Mem-cho's efforts, B-Komachi is now on the verge of a breakthrough. Aqua is a multi-talented woman, and Akane is steadily on her way to becoming a talented actress. Meanwhile, Kana has lost her former cheerfulness. Pursuing the truth behind Ai and Goro's deaths, Ruby rises up the entertainment industry. Using lies as a weapon... the story unfolds.
It was also announced that the live performance footage shown at the special event "Ichigo Production ☆ Fan Appreciation Festival 2025" held in February will be released for four consecutive weeks on the official "Oshi no Ko" YouTube channel. The first video will be "POP IN 2" by Yurie Igoma, Megumi Han, and Rumi Okubo. It will premiere at 6pm on March 22nd.
"Oshi no Ko " is a popular manga written by Aka Akasaka , who Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is War", and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari , who also wrote " Scum's Wish ", and was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" from April 2020 to November 2024. It tells the story of a twin brother and sister left behind by a genius idol named Ai, who suddenly dies. The younger twin, Ruby, admires her mother and enters the entertainment industry, while the older brother, Aqua, vows to take revenge on their biological father, who is believed to have accomplices in Ai's murder. The comic has sold over 20 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season from July to October 2024. The third season will air in 2026. The live-action adaptation has also been a hot topic.
