It has been revealed that the TV anime "Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise", based on the popular manga by Yuuki Urushibara currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), will be broadcast on Nippon TV's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (Fura-ani)" every Friday at 11pm starting in July. Additional cast members have also been announced, including Ryohei Kimura, who will play the role of Kyoya Saka, the courtesan and commander of the Kyoto branch of the Demon Agency's support force.
The second PV was released on YouTube, depicting the demon training school, Rakshas Academy, where the main character, Shiki Ichinose, who discovered she was a demon, enrolls. It was announced that the band "THE ORAL CIGARETTES" will be in charge of the opening theme "OVERNIGHT," and the song was unveiled in the PV.
The second key visual has also been released, showing instructor Mudanoh Mujin and other members of Rakshas Academy walking through an eerie underground area lit by red light.
"Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise" is a manga that has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" since 2020. Based on the fairy tale "Momotaro," it depicts the conflict between those with the blood of demons and those with the blood of Momotaro.
The "Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise Project" was launched in June 2023, with the first stage version being performed in February 2024. The second will be a TV anime adaptation. The third will be a smartphone game in 2025.
