The popular manga "My Dress-up Darling" by Shinichi Fukuda, which has also been adapted into a TV anime and a live-action drama, will end its seven-year serialization with the final chapter in issue 7 of the serialized magazine "Young Gangan" (Square Enix) on March 21. It has also been announced that there will be extra chapters and an epilogue published in the future.
"My Dress-up Darling" has been serialized in "Young Gangan" since 2018. It is a romantic comedy that depicts the love story between Gojo Niina, a high school boy who is training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, and Kitagawa Marin, a gyaru cosplayer who loves anime and games. The comic has been released up to volume 14.
Season 1 of the TV anime aired from January to March 2022. A live-action drama starring Riko Nagase and Kota Nomura was also broadcast from October to December 2024, which attracted much attention. It has also been announced that Season 2, a sequel to the TV anime, will air in 2025.
