It has been announced that the popular group Travis Japan will be performing the theme song for the animated feature film "Tabekko Doubutsu THE MOVIE," based on the popular snack "Tabekko Doubutsu" (Ginbis). This will be the first time the group has performed a theme song for an animated feature film. The song is titled "Would You Like One?" and was created with inspiration from the film. The animated feature film is also attracting attention because Travis Japan member Genta Matsuda will be the voice actor for the main character, Lion-kun. The official trailer has been released, and the song has been unveiled.
Members of Travis Japan have commented, with Kaito Miyachika saying, "I'm really happy that Travis Japan can sing the theme song for a film in which Genta voices the main character! I think this is a new challenge for the film, and I hope that we can get on board and reach a lot of people."
Regarding the song, Kaito Matsukura said, "The song starts with the lyric 'Itadakimasu' (thank you for the meal), and there's also choreography where Genta eats the Tabekko Animals. I think it's a song that is filled with the feelings of the Tabekko Animals," revealing that each member had the role of an animal.
Regarding the highlights of the song , Ryuya Shimekake said, "It's a song that will make you incredibly happy. It has a fast beat, so you can naturally get into it when listening to it. Personally, the lyrics in the chorus, 'Let's dance even when we're in the biggest pinch we've ever been in,' remind me of Travis Japan. We also dance when we're in a pinch, so I think it will be fun to see scenes in the movie that show how Morion-kun and the others get out of their predicaments."
Regarding the snack "Tabekko Animals," Yoshizawa Shizuya said, "It's something we always have in our house. Even now as adults, it's a snack that I still want to eat, so I think it's perfect as a snack. There are many varieties, it's fun, and I really like it." Regarding the choreography, Nakamura Kaito commented, "I think Lion-kun could do the tail dance, too. There are animal elements in various places, and it's a very impressive dance."
Regarding the highlights of the movie, Matsuda said, "The Tabekko Animals are global super idols. These idols try to save the world using their cuteness as a weapon. They're cute even when they seem helpless, and the movie is filled with unexpected events, laughter, emotion, and a few tears. It's a heart-warming movie that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, so be sure to check it out!"
The trailer begins with an unexpected scene of cotton candy appearing in large quantities in Sweets Land, where the story takes place. As King Gotton's evil hand spreads across the globe, aiming to eliminate all sweets except cotton candy and take over the world, the Tabekko Animals must help their friends and fight against the Cotton Candy Army to save the world. The trailer also shows the super idol Tabekko Animals posing in a huge live concert venue to accompany the theme song.
A visual was also released showing the Tabekko Animals facing off against the cotton candy army.
In the theatrical anime, Tabekko Animals will take on the mission of defeating an enemy plotting to take over the world. It will be directed by Takekiyo Jin of "After School Midnighters" and produced by Marza Animation Planet, which has also produced "Lupin the Third : The First," "Sonic the Hedgehog," and "Captain Harlock." It will be released on May 1st.
