The ninth episode of the Sunday Theatre drama " Mikami Sensei " (TBS, Sunday 9pm) starring Tori Matsuzaka was broadcast on March 16th. Facts about the family of Tominaga ( Aju Makita), a student in class 3-2, were revealed, causing a stir on social media.

"If you want to talk, I'll listen. If you don't want to talk, you don't have to. If it's better to wait, I'll wait," Mikami (Matsuzaka) told Tominaga, to which he replied, "You probably already know, Okami." Mikami responded, "I knew that Tominaga's brother had a disability. He has a congenital spinal cord disorder and cannot walk. I heard that he also has a mild intellectual disability, and that his parents are completely focused on him."
She continued, "What bothered me was that Tominaga was wasting his time at the game center despite the family situation. And yet, seeing Tominaga being so positive, I automatically dismissed that possibility." Tominaga revealed, "My brother gets unstable when I'm around. He has a rule that he has to go to his room at 8pm. So I made sure to come home after that."
Tominaga remembered the day her brother started to hate her. "(A relative) said, 'You're going to Tokyo University, right? You should have given half to (my brother) Ryu-chan.' I yelled at him, saying, 'Don't mess with me.' But that was the end of it. Ryu-chan was never the same as the one I knew," she said, shedding tears.
On that day at school, Tominaga received a call from her mother saying that her younger brother was acting violently and she couldn't control him. "I rushed home and he was really acting violently. I couldn't help but tell him to stop. When I saw Ryu's palms covered in blood, I thought maybe the only thing I could do was not to be here..." she revealed her true feelings.
After hearing his story, Mikami remarked, "I see. You called me often. I was glad. That's silly, right? It's so nice to have my students rely on me."
On social media, comments such as, "Makida's acting was amazing. Those tears weren't just from her own pain, they were from thinking about her brother," "Tominaga-chan is always so cheerful so it was all the more heartbreaking. But I'm really glad she had friends who were able to help," and "I can't stop crying for both Tominaga-san and Mikami Sensei" were posted.
