"Anime 1 Week" is a site that brings together the latest anime news from the past week. From March 9th to 15th, news about the 19th Seiyu Awards ceremony and the release of the Sakura Miku illustration by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko were all the rage.
On the 9th, it was revealed that the school idol group "Liella !" from the Love Live! ! Superstar!!" will have their first terrestrial TV show, "Liella! no Chuu to Riera!!", starring the group, will be broadcast on Nippon TV (Kanto local) at 12:59 a.m. on April 3rd. This will be the first terrestrial TV show starring the cast of the "Love Live!" series, and they will learn and train in various ways to help people get to know the appeal of "Liella!". There will be a total of 5 episodes.
On the 9th, it was announced that Takaki Tsuyoshi's manga "BLACK TORCH," which was serialized in "Jump SQ." and "Shonen Jump +" (Shueisha), will be adapted into a TV anime. Kei Umabiki will be the director, and 100studio will be the producer.
On the 10th, it was announced that Masuo Kinoko's light novel "Material Collector's Otherworldly Travels," which won both the Grand Prize and the Reader's Award at the 9th Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Awards, will be adapted into a TV anime. Yoshinori Kodaka will direct, and Tatsunoko Productions and SynergySP will produce.
On the 11th, it was announced that the TV anime "Fermat no Ryori," based on the latest work by Yugo Kobayashi, known for the soccer manga "Aoashi," will be broadcast on TV Asahi's anime slot "IMAnimation" every Saturday at 11:30 pm starting in July.
On the 12th, it was announced that Bei's manga "Kamiina Botan, Yoeru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana," which is currently being serialized on Akita Shoten's manga site "Champion Cross," will be made into a TV anime. The story is about the coming-of-age of female university students who bond over alcohol, and will be directed by Takashi Sakuma and produced by Soine.
On the 12th, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, a manga artist known for his work on character design for the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam, released an illustration of Sakura Miku, the official support character for the Hirosaki Sakura Festival, as well as Hirosaki Castle and Mt. Iwaki in cherry blossoms. The original illustration will be exhibited at the Hirosaki City Machinaka Information Center (Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture) from April 12 to June 30.
On the 12th, it was announced that the official spin-off of the popular manga "Crayon Shin-chan", "Nohara Hiroshi's Lunch Style", will be made into a TV anime and will be broadcast on BS Asahi every Friday at 11pm starting in October. The gourmet manga is themed around the lunch of Hiroshi, the father of Nohara Shinnosuke, the main character of "Crayon Shin-chan ", and Hiroshi will be played by Toshiyuki Morikawa , just like in the anime " Crayon Shin-chan -chan".
On the 13th, it was announced that Shizumu Watanabe's manga "Dead Account", which is currently being serialized on Kodansha's web manga service "Magapoke", will be adapted into a TV anime. The main cast was also announced, with Nobuhiko Okamoto playing the protagonist, Enjo Souri. Koki Uchiyama Kouki will play Kasumi Ryukaku and Fairouz Ai will play Urushigawa Kiei. On the 13th, it was announced that Sakurazaka Hiroshi's sci-fi novel "All You Need Is Kill" will be adapted into an anime. The Hollywood movie starring Tom Cruise was released in 2014, and the manga by Obata Takeshi, known for "Death Note" and other works, also gained popularity. The anime will be directed by Takeshi Obata, who has worked on "Berserk: The Golden Age Arc," "Harmony," and "Poupelle of Chimney Town," and will be produced by STUDIO4℃, which has also worked on "Tekkonkinkreet" and "Children of the Sea."
On the 14th, it was revealed that Masakuni Igarashi's romantic comedy manga "Mayonaka Heart Tune," currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), will be adapted into a TV anime in 2026. The series is a "voice spring" romantic comedy about the heroines of the broadcasting club who work hard to achieve their dreams related to their "voice," such as becoming a singer, voice actress, VTuber, or announcer, and the protagonist who searches for radio broadcaster Apollo relying only on his "voice." Visuals and a promotional video featuring the four heroines have been released.
On the 14th, it was revealed that the third season of the anime "Record of Ragnarok," based on the battle manga currently being serialized in "Monthly Comic Zenon" (Core Mix), entitled "Record of Ragnarok III," will be produced and streamed exclusively on Netflix.
On the 15th, the 19th Seiyu Awards ceremony, which is given to the most active voice actors of the year, was held at the Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Media Plus Hall (Minato Ward, Tokyo), and all the winners were announced, including the Best Voice Actor Award, Best Supporting Voice Actor Award, and Best New Voice Actor Award. On the 15th, a special exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the broadcast of the popular anime "Space Battleship Yamato", "Space Battleship Yamato Complete Record Exhibition", opened at Seibu Shibuya in Shibuya, Tokyo. The special exhibition was planned and produced by Hideaki Anno, and will display over 1,200 valuable items, including original proposals and character and mechanic design drawings, taken from materials stored by the non-profit organization Anime Special Effects Archive Organization (ATAC).
