It has been revealed that a new series of "Bura Tamori," a popular NHK variety show in which TV personality Tamori visits various towns, will begin on April 5th. The show will be revived as a regular program from the new fiscal year. The April episode will be "A Journey to Ise Shrine." It has also been announced that singer-songwriter Aimyon will be doing the narration, following last year's three-night special.
Among the roads leading to Ise Grand Shrine, known as the "Iseji Route," is the main route for people heading from Edo to Ise Shrine, stretching 90 kilometers from Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, to Ise Grand Shrine. During the Edo period, people were singing the praises of "I want to go to Ise, I want to see the Iseji Route." What kind of road was the "Iseji Route" that was so attractive? The hidden charm of the route will be revealed from the traces left in post towns such as Yokkaichi, Suzuka, Tsu, and Matsusaka. The partner will be announcer Mana Sato from the Hiroshima station.
Tamori commented, "When the regular broadcast ended, a friend who had been looking forward to the program asked me, 'What are you going to do?!' But it starts again as if nothing had happened. A pilgrimage to Ise Shrine is not just about the goal, the interesting things are the towns along the way. Walking through a town is a way to enjoy everyday life. I hope you will all join me on this journey."
