The creditless opening and ending credits for the second season of the TV anime series "Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You," based on the manga by Haruka Mitsui currently serialized in the monthly girls' manga magazine "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha), have been released on YouTube. The moving footage depicts the choices and bonds between childhood friends as they grow from children to adults.
The opening video features the grown-up Mizuho, Shugo, Ai, and Miku, with Teruzuki, who had disappeared from everyone's sight, appearing while the opening theme "L and R" by the girl group ME:I plays in the background. The video depicts the characters' current lives, from their childhood when they were close enough to meet at any time, through their student days, to adulthood, each struggling in their own way as working adults.
The ending video begins in Mizuho's empty room. As the ending theme "First Love" by the band "berry meet" plays, the video zooms in on childhood photos of the five members - Mizuho, Teruzuki, Misaki, Ai, and Shugo - displayed on a corkboard, reminiscing on memories. Each photo displays memories of the five as a group, as well as unforgettable places and events for each member, giving a glimpse into which moments are most precious to each of them. At the end, just like the end of the opening video, the backs of the five grown-ups are shown gazing out at the ocean from the beach.
The series began serialization in Nakayoshi magazine in December 2020. It is a school youth story depicting the heart-pounding romance and youth of the protagonist Mizuho, who grew up in a seaside town, and her unique childhood friends, Teruzuki, Miku, Ai, and Shugo. The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March, and the second season is currently airing on TBS and BS11.
