A special program titled "Futari Festival - Shingo Katori x Koji Yamamoto ," featuring actors Shingo Katori Shingo and Koji Yamamoto Koji performing together for one night only, will be broadcast on NHK BS from 9:00 PM on January 17th.
Katori and Yamamoto, who have remained close friends on stage, in dramas, and in private life since co-starring in the NHK Taiga drama "Shinsengumi!" (2004), will be taking on their first "just the two of us live and talk show."
They appear in a studio without an MC or guests, and as they sing and talk together as if they had formed a special unit just for this show, their unexpected true selves are revealed.
In the talk corner, they will share stories from their first location visit and memories from that time that marked the beginning of their activities. In the musical collaboration, they will sing a duet of a number from one of Yamamoto's most famous musical appearances, which Katori also saw, and Yamamoto will join in on the guitar to a song where Katori shouts enthusiastically.
Katori commented, "It was fun to be on stage this time, as we got to talk and think about all sorts of things together, saying things like, 'Let's do this, let's do that.' The art set plan that Yamamoto casually mentioned has also been realized, so don't miss it!"
Yamamoto said, "This is the first time we've performed on stage just the two of us like this! But because it was with Katori, it was a lot of fun. We both contributed a lot of ideas, so please come and see!"
"Futari Festival - Shingo Katori x Koji Yamamoto" will also be broadcast on BS Premium 4K from 6:45 pm on February 15th.
