It has been revealed that ABC Television will be creating a new anime slot on Sunday nights. The station already has an anime slot called "ANiMAZiNG!!!" on Saturdays at 2am, where "Witchy Pretty Cure!~MIRAI DAYS~" is currently being broadcast, but the new anime slot has been decided. The first in the series will be a new original anime called "Days Are Forgotten, But Food Is Delicious" with characters, story concept, and manga name created by Atto, the creator of "Non Non Biyori", which will be broadcast every Sunday at 12:40am starting from April 13th.
ABC Animation President Yasui Kazunari explained the aim of establishing the new late-night anime slot, saying, "We hope that this time slot will allow viewers to enjoy anime during the midnight hour on Sunday, which for many viewers marks the end of their weekend, while also giving them energy for the week starting on Monday, making them think, 'Let's look forward to this and do our best next week!'"
The official "ANiMAZiNG!!!" Twitter account will be calling for public suggestions for a name for the time slot, stating, "We aim to create a new anime slot together with fans, and through various projects and initiatives, we would like to value the opinions of our fans and make it an even more beloved anime slot. We have planned this naming contest as the first step. We would like to continue to create the brand for the slot together with our fans through this type of two-way communication, so we appreciate your support!"
