It has been announced that Yukine Nagaoka has been selected as the grand prize winner from among 2,826 applicants for Kodansha's gravure contest, "Miss Magazine 2025." The announcement was made at the "Miss Magazine 2025 Grand Prix Announcement Event" held in Tokyo on August 26th.
Nagaoka was born on July 10th, 2009, and is 16 years old and from Hyogo Prefecture. This was her first attempt at gravure modeling during the Miss Magazine competition. After being selected as the grand prize winner, she said enthusiastically, "I want to liven up Miss Magazine and the gravure modeling world. I want to fulfill my dream of one day becoming the leading actress in a Asadora."
Nagaoka will receive a prize of 1 million yen as the grand prize. She will appear on the cover of the manga magazine "Young Magazine" (Kodansha) and will also have a solo photo book released. The winners of Miss Magazine 2025 were Harukokoro as Miss Young Magazine, Anna Eshita as Miss Weekly Shonen Magazine, Minori Tominaga as the Reader's Special Award, and Shizuku Ota and Sora Maruya as the Judges' Special Award.
Miss Magazine began in 1982 and has produced such celebrities as Yuki Saito, Shoko Nakagawa, Kii Kitano, Kana Kurashina, and Yua Shinkawa, and is said to be a stepping stone for actors and talents. It was on hiatus after 2011, but was revived in 2018 after a seven-year hiatus. Since its revival, it has produced such celebrities as Aika Sawaguchi, known as the "Reiwa Gravure Queen," and Hina Kikuchi, who is active as an actor and model.
