Since its debut on February 2, 1976, TV Asahi's long-running program "Tetsuko's Room" (Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM) has featured Tetsuko Kuroyanagi hosting conversations with celebrities and popular people from various fields. To commemorate its 50th year on the air, the third installment of the "50th Anniversary Deep Dive Special" will be broadcast on October Getsuku at 7:00 PM.
Matsuko Deluxe will serve as the program's "special supporter," and guest appearances will be made by Yo Oizumi, star of the new TV drama "A Little Esper" (Tuesdays at 9 p.m., starting October 21st), and Yuki Amami , star of " Emergency Interrogation Room " (Thursdays at 9 p.m., starting October 16th).
When Oizumi and Amami appeared on "Tetsuko's Room," they performed various impersonations at Kuroyanagi's request. After tracing their "history" once again, Oizumi muttered, "Can we say that Amami and I are a 'victims' group?'"
However, Kuroyanagi, unfazed by the fuss, requested once again, "Try doing an imitation!" Amami then impersonated Kuroyanagi, and Oizumi impersonated a certain character, and they engaged in an impromptu collaboration of imitation.
Kuroyanagi continued to press them, asking, "Do you have any new material?", toying with the two. As the two managed to squeeze out new material, Matsuko was impressed, saying, "Actors don't usually go this far! These two are amazing!" However, Oizumi finally screamed, "Can I go home now?!"
The program will feature a playback of precious footage from the past 50 years, looking back at conversations with late sports heroes such as Giant Baba, Antonio Inoki, Seiji Hirao, and Chiyonofuji. At Amami and Oizumi's request, the program will also introduce rare footage of Showa era stars such as Takakura Ken, Katsu Shintaro, and Mikuni Rentaro. A video featuring the "Ishihara Gang," which Amami wanted to be a member of, will also be shown.
