On March 13th, it was revealed that Motoki Omori, vocalist of the three-person rock band "Mrs. Green Apple ", will play composer Takuya Ise in the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan ", starring Mio Imada , which will start on March 31st. " Anpan" will be Omori's first drama appearance.
Isetakuya composed many commercials, movies, television, and radio plays. He also had a passion for musicals, composing over 15,000 songs in his lifetime. In the musical "Look Up at the Stars in the Night," for which he was responsible for the music, Takashi Yanai(Takumi Kitamura) was in charge of the stage design, and Isetakuya was tasked with composing the song "Te no Hira wo Taiyou ni," for which Takashi was responsible for the lyrics.
"Anpan" is written by Miho Nakazono, who is known for the "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko" (TV Asahi) series, and tells the story of love and courage that will make you feel the joy of living as Yanase Takashi, who was still a Takashi Yanase at the time, and his wife Nobu Komatsu overcome all sorts of rough seas to arrive at "Anpanman." About a year ago, I went to Mrs. Green Apple's concert for the first time. This concert was different from usual, it was a musical drama that incorporated musical expressions between songs. Of course, I was drawn to the music of each song, but also to Omori's acting, posture, timing, gestures, and expressions in the transitions between songs. I got goosebumps, and was touched by his delicate expressions more than the music, and before I knew it, tears were streaming down my cheeks.
At that moment, it just came to me. "I want to see Omori Motoki as an actor." It had been a long time since I felt this sensation. I never want to forget this urge. I don't want to regret it, I want to be honest about this feeling.
On the way home from the concert, I decided to offer Omori an opportunity to perform in "Anpan."
