The NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada , will enter its 20th week, "Look Up at the Stars at Night," on August 11th. The synopsis and scene cuts have been released.

" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013), the manga artist and picture book author who created "Anpanman," and his wife, Nobu (1918-1993). It is a "story of love and courage" that will fill you with the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In the 20th week, Takashi (Takumi Kitamura), who has retired from a department store, joins a group called the Original Manga Group and carries out the tasks assigned to him there, but it is by no means smooth sailing.
To support Takashi, Nobu (Imada) begs Tetsuko (Toda Keiko) to let her continue working as his secretary, but she tells him something he never expected. Seven years have passed since then, and there is still no sign that Takashi will be successful as a manga artist.
One day, Takuya Ise(Motoki Omori) comes to the Yanai family with Rokuhara Eisuke (Todo Hinata) and asks if they would like to work on the stage art for the musical "Look Up at the Stars at Night."
