"Sandwichman & Mana Ashida's Hakase-chan " (TV Asahi) is a program in which children with knowledge and talents that rival those of adults give entertaining lessons as " Hakase-chan " (teacher). On August Getsuku, a two-and-a-half hour special will be aired from 6:30 pm to 8:54 pm, titled "Six Great Mysteries of Mount Fuji, Shrouded in Mystery and Mystery."
Mount Fuji opened in July this year and has been visited by climbers from all over the world. It is also known as a "sacred mountain" and has been worshipped as an object of faith since ancient times, but many legends and mysteries remain. In this episode, three Hakase-chan investigate the mysteries associated with Mount Fuji.
The first mystery that Ryuichiro Meguro (15), also known as "Dr. Katsushika Hokusai- Hakase-chan," will tackle is the "Mysterious Womb Cave" at the foot of Mount Fuji, a place once depicted by the ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Sadahide. Sadahide depicted a strange scene in which people dressed in funeral attire walk through a cave resembling the inside of a human body. Does this mysterious cave really exist? Together with guest Chan Kawai, Meguro heads to Mutsumuro Sengen Shrine, also known as "Womb Shrine," located about 24 kilometers from Mount Fuji.
Amane Morohoshi (15), a "Sengoku Period-Loving Hakase-chan" who loves historical stones such as castle walls, investigates the mystery of why waterfalls exist on Mount Fuji despite the lack of large rivers. The annual rainfall on Mount Fuji is said to be about 2.2 billion tons, but she explores where this massive amount of rainwater disappears.
The setting for the third mystery is Aokigahara Jukai, a virgin forest located northwest of Mount Fuji. A 2-kilometer-long stone wall remains in the unexplored forest, but who built it and why remains a mystery. "Castle Hakase-chan" Hibiki Kurihara (15) takes a closer look.
Meguro, known as "Dr. Katsushika Hakase-chan," will also attempt to climb Mount Fuji for the first time. He will investigate the mystery surrounding the "giant axe" at the fifth station, as well as a spectacular spot where you can see Mount Fuji while standing on it. The program will also cover the opening day of the Fujinomiya route and introduce the mysterious ritual that takes place at the summit. Studio guests include Michiko Hada and Asako Ito.
