"Drama 1 Week" introduces the main drama news of the week. On the Mikako Tabe will play the Taigan no Kaji ~Kore ga, Watashi no Ikiru Michi~ " (Wataru Ichinose. Ichinose plays Torao Murakami, a kind-hearted man who leads a busy life as the manager of an izakaya, but who generously pours love into his family. He dotes on his 2-year-old daughter Ichigo and supports his wife Shiho (Tabe). This will be Ichinose's first time playing a father, and he attracted attention for playing the lead sumo wrestler in Netflix's "Sanctuary" (2023). It was revealed on the 20th that Ayase Haruka will star in the Saturday drama "Hitori de Shinitai" broadcast on NHK General TV. The original is a manga of the same name by Curryzawa Kaoru, which has been praised as a "gag manga about end-of-life planning that you can laugh at while reading". Ayase plays the main character, Yamaguchi Narumi, who is unmarried and childless. Narumi had been enjoying life alone, but after her aunt whom she admired dies unexpectedly alone, her search for a husband is unsuccessful. She then makes a 180-degree turn from her search for a husband and begins to think about end-of-life planning... This is the story. The script is written by Omori Mika, who is known for her work on the NHK morning drama series "Asa ga Kita". The series will start at 10pm on June 21st and is scheduled to run for a total of six episodes.
It has recently been announced that four short stories published by Murakami Haruki after the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake will be adapted into a drama series by NHK and broadcast from April 5th in the Saturday drama slot (Saturdays at 10pm) under the title "After the Earthquake." The setting will be changed from 1995 to 2025, depicting the 30 years of "after the earthquake" following the "present." "No. 1 'A UFO Lands in Kushiro'" stars Masaki Okada, "No. 2 'A Scene with an Iron'" stars Narumi Yui, "No. 3 'All God's Children Can Dance'" stars Watanabe Daichi, and "No. 4 'The Frog Saves Tokyo, Part 4'" stars Sato Koichi.
It was revealed on the 21st that Kodai Asaka will be starring in the serial drama "Three Couples," which will be broadcast on TBS's late-night drama slot "Drama Stream" (Tuesday late night, broadcast time TBA) from April 8th. This is Asaka's first lead role in a terrestrial drama. Asaka plays the protagonist, an architectural designer named Takuzo Mitsuda, who is asked by his ex-girlfriend Mia Yanokuchi and her boyfriend Shinpei Satomura to become a "three-couple couple." It has been revealed that Matsushita Yuki will be starring in Drama 24 "Dear My Baby - Until I Control You" (TV Tokyo, Friday midnight 12:12), which will begin airing on April 4th. The drama is a "crazy love suspense" in which Matsushita plays a veteran manager who showers abnormal love on a rookie actor under his care. It was also announced that Nomura Kota will play a rookie actor. This will be Matsushita's first lead role in a TV Tokyo drama series. The drama is the second in a manga and drama adaptation project jointly produced by TV Tokyo and Amuse Creative Studio, following "Zaibatsu Fukushu".
