On February 12th, Yuki Yoda of the idol group Nogizaka46 appeared at a press conference in Tokyo to commemorate the release of her photo book "Yoda" (Kobunsha), which was released on the same day. She revealed that she first handed the photo book over to the comedy duo Bananaman, who are also known as the group's "official older brothers" and serve as MCs on the group's signature program "Nogizaka Koujichuu" (TV Tokyo).
Yoda, who will be graduating from the group at concerts to be held in her hometown of Fukuoka on the 22nd and 23rd, said with a smile, "The last recording of 'Nogizaka Under Construction' was the last one, and 'Yoda Land' (the graduation project that aired on the 9th) was the last one, but the photobook was finished on that day, so I handed it over to her as it was."
He said that he gave each of the Bananaman members a different version of the cover. Shitara Osamu was given the regular version, while Himura Yuki was given the Rakuten Books limited edition with whipped cream on the nose. He said happily, "I haven't received any feedback on the pages yet, but they were very happy!"
Yoda said that the graduation project, "Yoda Land," was packed with things she wanted to do. Looking back on the recording, she said, "I'd never done anything like this before, so I was always worried, is this really funny? Will it be okay? But it was a lot of fun." She continued, "I was able to go up against Bananaman and Ume-chan (contemporary member Umezawa Minami), and I'm grateful that I was able to make such good memories at the very end."
"Yoda" is Yoda's third photo book and her first in about five years. The photos were taken in Cairns and Brisbane in Australia, and the book is full of the charm of "life-size Yuki Yoda" in the great outdoors with her favorite animals. She is also pictured in swimsuits and three different types of lingerie in photos taken on Fitzroy Island and at a hotel pool. A4 size, 160 pages. 2,500 yen
