Talent Dekami-chan appeared on the popular variety show "Failure Teacher: Don't Be Like Me!!" (TV Asahi) broadcast on January 31st. In this show, guests who have made big mistakes in the past talk about their experiences as "Failure Teachers." Dekami-chan appeared as "a teacher who only falls in love with gigolos."
Last year, Dekami-chan married the solo comedian Satsuma KawaRPG and is living a happy married life. However, it seems that she has had bad luck with men up until now, as she revealed, "When I was 21 to 23 years old, I gave more than 2 million yen to three freeloaders," and "I paid for all of their living expenses, such as rent and utility bills, and I also paid for all of their dates."
When she was 21, she met her ex-boyfriend, an unsuccessful band member, who would bring more and more of his belongings with him whenever he came to her room, and within a month of starting their relationship, he canceled his lease on his own apartment and moved into Dekami-chan's house. However, she recalls that at the time, she was overjoyed, saying, "It's great that my boyfriend is at home every day!"
According to Dekami-chan, one of the characteristics of women who are easily attracted to freeloaders is that they are "very lonely." She reflected that she accepted him out of her own weakness, and as a result, she made him think, "I'm free to stay in this house."
On the show, she candidly confessed how she felt when she couldn't break up with her boyfriend, and how her continued pampering of him escalated her "habit of being a freeloader." She also shared the "lessons to avoid making mistakes in love" she learned from her own experience.
