Actor Kanna Hashimoto appeared at a press conference for the Fuji TV "Getsuku" drama "Yangduk!" (starting January 12th, Mondays at 9pm), in which she stars, held in Tokyo on January 8th. During the talk corner, Hashimoto heard her co-star Xu Fengfan's concerns about "finding the right timing to eat the food he receives," to which she replied, "Don't worry about it, you can just eat," and added, "I really am constantly eating. I say my lines, eat, then go back to the set, and that's it." Furthermore, when Xu worried about food getting stuck in his teeth, she gave him some tips: "I recommend chewing with your back teeth. If you chew with your front teeth, it gets stuck."
Hashimoto says she loves noodles so much that her co-stars have commented, "I always have the impression that I'm always eating noodles." She passionately explained, "I don't like feeling hungry, so I eat when I feel like I'm going to get hungry. Before I actually get hungry. I think once I get hungry, it's over," which drew laughter.
Also appearing at the press conference were Osamu Mukai, Ryubi Miyase, Otoo Takuma, Toru Baba, and comedy duo Nagon's Usuyuki and Kotaro Yoshida.
The drama is a thrilling medical entertainment in which the protagonist, Tagami Kotoha, a hardcore delinquent girl played by Hashimoto, studies hard after her best friend dies in an accident, becoming a neurosurgeon and bringing a breath of fresh air to the medical field. The original work is based on a real doctor, and the script is written by Nemoto Nonji, who also wrote the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi" starring Hashimoto.
