On January 8th, actress Neru Nagahama attended a press conference held at TV Asahi (Minato Ward, Tokyo) for the drama "Okome no Onna - National Tax Agency Materials Investigation Division, Miscellaneous Affairs Room" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), which starts that evening, along with lead actors Nanako Matsushima and Hayato Sano.
During the press conference, an episode was introduced in which Nagahama took home the rice balls that Matsushima had made during the filming. When Sano retorted, "What are you doing?!", Nagahama replied, "When I was alone (on set), there were rice balls that Matsushima had made near where I usually wait, and I asked, 'Can I have these?' (laughs)."
Later, when asked about her aspirations for this year, she revealed, "I don't usually cook properly at home (laughs)," and said, "I get a lunch box on set and eat it when I get home, but this year I want to cook properly."
The drama is set in the newly established "Complex National Tax Case Processing Office (commonly known as Zakkoku)" of the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's Document Investigation Division (commonly known as Kome, because of the character for rice, which means "fee"), which boasts high information gathering capabilities and investigative skills in tax investigations. The talented investigator Yoneda Seiko (played by Matsushima) and her team of unique individuals will punish unscrupulous tax evaders. The first episode was extended by six minutes. Katsumi Takahashi and Mao Daichi also attended the press conference.
