It has been revealed that the first episode (aired on January 24th) of the TV drama series " Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle? " (TBS, Friday 10pm), starring actress Suzu Hirose , has been viewed over 3 million times on TVer (according to Video Research, measurement period: January 24th to February 4th).
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Asami Rito. It is a suspense story where the love and destiny of a parent and child caught up in a false accusation case intertwines. Hirose plays Yamashita Komugi, a daughter whose father, a former police officer, was killed on Christmas Eve night, and with a letter left by her father as a clue, she approaches the truth of two incidents, past and present. This is Hirose's first lead role in a full-scale suspense drama.
In the first episode, Kokoro Mugi loses his beloved father Haruo (Lily Franky) on Christmas Eve and is left in a daze. The culprit who killed Haruo is Tomoya ( Yoshi Sakou Yoshi), the perpetrator of the brutal murder of a wealthy family whom Haruo arrested 22 years ago.
Still unable to process the sudden turn of events, Kokoro Mugi receives a letter left by Haruo from Someda (Sakai Toshiya), the owner of a ramen stand he is familiar with.
