It has been revealed that singer ano, also known as "Ano-chan," will be performing a parody of the classic anime song "Wai Wai World" in the TV commercial for Asahi Soft Drinks' blended tea "Asahi Yui Aragaki Yui.
This commercial, which marks the 17th year that Aragaki has served as a commercial character, features Aragaki waiting for the traffic light to turn on at a busy intersection, and under the bright blue sunshine, she gulps down a cup of Jurokucha tea in her hand.
"Waiwai World" is the opening theme song for the TV anime "Dr. Slump Arale-chan" that aired in the 1980s, and was popularized when sung by Ado Mizumori. In this commercial, Ano sings a parody version of the song, which begins with "Let's drink! Let's drink Jurokucha."
