A large theme park in northern Okinawa called "JUNGLIA OKINAWA" will open on July 25th. This was recently announced by Katana, whose CEO is Takeshi Morioka, and Japan Entertainment, the company that operates the park.
Located in Nakijin Village, Okinawa Prefecture, the park is set in the great outdoors of northern Okinawa, home to the World Heritage Site "Yanbaru," and offers the excitement and luxury you can't find in the city. The total site area is about 120 hectares, and the park area is about 60 hectares. It has 22 attractions, 15 dining facilities, and 10 retail facilities.
Attractions include "Dinosaur Safari," in which participants board large off-road vehicles to a habitat inhabited by 20 dinosaurs and are tasked with controlling the situation after a giant creature has destroyed and escaped the facility; "Finding Dinosaurs," in which participants search for a baby dinosaur that has gotten lost in the jungle; and "Horizon Balloon," in which participants board a giant hot air balloon approximately 23 meters in diameter and enjoy the majestic scenery of nature.
Spa Janglia will also feature one of the world's largest infinity baths, offering a soothing time surrounded by nature. There will also be a sauna, natural hot springs, and cave baths. The restaurant area will feature a restaurant called Panorama Dining, which will offer a panoramic view of the park and a menu that makes generous use of ingredients from Okinawa.
Junglia Okinawa plans to operate on an admission ticket (free pass) system, with a 1-day ticket allowing visitors to enjoy all the attractions and other experiences. Ticket prices are as follows: a 1-day ticket for domestic residents is 6,930 yen for adults and 4,950 yen for children. The general rate is set at 8,800 yen for adults and 5,940 yen for children. Additionally, spa tickets for domestic residents will be 2,640 yen for adults and 1,540 yen for children, while the general rate is 3,080 yen for adults and 1,870 yen for children. Children under 3 years old are free. In addition to admission tickets, tickets that allow smoother enjoyment of the attractions are planned to go on sale in the future.
