Episode 11 of the TV anime "Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!", based on Harunori's "classic BL comedy" manga, titled "Grab it! The present battle!! / Makeover? Haircut challenge!!", will air on TOKYO MX and other channels from late night on June 10th.
In "Grab It! The Present Scramble!!", as Christmas approaches, Nakamura heads to a shopping mall to buy a present for Hirose. Using information he overheard, he searches for a limited-edition item and arrives at his target store. However, there is only one left. As he reaches for the last one, he coincidentally runs into Matsumura Takao, who has come to buy the same item.
In "Makeover? Haircut Challenge!!", Nakamura, bothered by her bangs growing long during winter break, tries to cut them at home, but is suddenly interrupted and ends up cutting too much. Her usual barber is closed for the New Year's holiday, so she bravely enters a stylish hair salon she wouldn't normally go to. Sitting in the chair with some apprehension, she is met with the stylist's skillful movements of the scissors, and ends up with more hair cut off than she expected.
"Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!" is a popular series that depicts the fantasies and reckless actions surrounding the unrequited love of shy high school student Nakamura Otokoto for his classmate Hirose Aiki, all in a nostalgic 1980s-90s style. The manga is published by Heroes. The anime is directed by Umeki Aoi, who also handles the script and character design. Drive is producing the anime. Chiaki Kobayashi voices Nakamura Otokoto and Sakakibara Yuki voices Hirose Aiki. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
