Original author Vein-san commented, "Marriage Toxin is getting a second anime season! When I first heard about it, I was like, 'Really!?' and was shocked... I'm so grateful... No amount of thanks is enough, but it's all thanks to everyone who supported us! I'm so grateful (so grateful...)!! I'm looking forward to seeing Gero, Kinosaki and the others again, thanks to the anime staff who make the original work 1000% more amazing, and the voice actors who breathe life into the characters with their superb acting skills!! Furthermore, in the second anime season, charming and outrageous characters will be added and run wild in all directions... so please look forward to it!!!!"
Mizuki Yoda, who is in charge of the artwork for the original work, said, "Thank you for deciding to produce a second season! This is all thanks to everyone who always supports us. I love the opening and ending themes of the first season and I've been listening to them all the time, so I'm really excited to hear that they'll be produced for the second season as well! Many of my favorite characters will be appearing in the second season, so I hope you'll look forward to it!"
"Marriage Toxin" is a battle action story about Gero Hikaru, a young man who is a "poison user," a lineage of assassins that has existed for hundreds of years, and who teams up with marriage swindler Shirosaki Mei to find the perfect marriage in order to prevent his bloodline from dying out. It has gained popularity, including being selected as 8th in the web manga category of the "Next Manga Award 2022".
The first season of the TV anime, titled "Hi-Ani-Bal!!", began airing in April and concluded on June 30th.
