The 106th episode of the NHK morning drama " Anpan " (General Asadora , Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on August 25th, and viewers were drawn to the lines of Kentaro, played by Fumiya Takahashi.
In episode 106, Taka (Takumi Kitamura) was depressed because his drawing of a fat man handing out Anpan was not appreciated. When Takuya (Motoki Omori) and Kentaro expressed concern for Taka's lack of energy, Taka silently handed over the drawing. When Kentaro asked, "What is it about this man?" Taka revealed, "He's my idea of a hero. I took this to a publisher, but they trashed it."
Kentaro said, "This isn't a hero," and Takuya agreed, "Yeah, this is an old man." Taka explained, "He goes around handing out Anpan to hungry people," and "He doesn't take money. He's there to help people in need," but Kentaro snapped, "He might be a nice guy, but is he uncool?" Taka said, "It's okay to have an uncool hero. My wife likes him, though," to which Kentaro retorted, "No, no, no, this won't sell. It's obvious that heroes are cool."
Takahashi, who plays Kentaro, rose to fame playing the main character Hiden Aruto/ Kamen Rider Zero-One in the special effects drama " Kamen Rider Zero-One One" (TV Asahi), which began airing in September 2019. Given this background, many viewers responded to Kentaro's line, "Heroes are cool, of course."
On social media, people were saying things like, "It's so realistic and convincing," "When Ken-chan says it, the words carry a different weight," "Heroes are cool, but when Kamen Rider says that, lol," "Ken-chan was Kamen Rider in his previous life," and "I thought he'd be reincarnated as Zero-One when the Reiwa era began."
