Actor Mitsuki Takahata appeared at a press conference for the Japanese dubbing cast of the film "Wicked" (released March 7th, directed by Jon M. Chu) held in Tokyo on February 3rd.
When asked about his "true self" in reference to the film's theme, Takahata revealed, "(Because I'm from Osaka Prefecture) when I'm being myself, I make jokes and make jokes. I'm a true Kansai person (laughs). I've lived in Tokyo for a long time, so people are surprised when I tell them I was born in Osaka, but fundamentally I speak in a Kansai dialect."
When asked what he would do if he were roommates with Takahata, he said, "My battery would suddenly run out. I'd just stare at one point and become dazed, so please don't worry and leave me alone. I'd start moving again soon (laughs)."
Also attending the press conference were Shimizu Miisa, Kaiho Naoto, Tamura Miyu Irino, Kemio, and Shiota Tomoko.
Elphaba and Glinda happen to be roommates at a university dormitory. Elphaba is discovered to have special powers by the Wizard of Oz, whom everyone admires.
