Witch Watch:The star-studded cast of "colorful" student council members includes Miyuki Sawashiro, Jun Fukuyama, Rie Kugimiya, Misaki Kuno, Noriko Kenta Miyake, Jun Fukushima, and Hikaru Midorikawa.

The cast members who will play the eight members of the student council executive committee in the TV anime "Witch Watch," based on the popular manga by Shinohara Kenta currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), have been announced. The eight members of the student council executive committee are a group of "eccentrics" led by Kiyomiya Tenryu, the student council president of private Asunaro High School, and the star-studded cast includes Sawashiro Miyuki Sawashiro as Ibu Ibara, Fukuyama Jun as Jun Fukuyama Yuzuru, Kugimiya Rie as Syrup, Kuno Misaki as Kuromitsu, Kenta Miyake Noriko as Koriji, Miyake Kenta as Burst, Fukushima Jun as Nishiko Kyouki, and Midorikawa Hikaru as Sakai Daiki Mark II. A video showing the entire student council executive committee, including Kiyomiya Tenryu, has also been released.

All eight members of the student council executive committee have typical characteristics. Ibu Ibara, played by Sawashiro, is a typical sexy older sister-like vice president with a bare belly button, miniskirt and fishnet stockings, Kenmochi Yuzuru, played by Fukuyama, is a typical Kansai-style gentleman with narrow eyes who looks like he's the most likely man to betray her someday, Syrup, played by Kugimiya, is a typical tsundere girl secretary with a Western-style lolita look, and Kuromitsu, played by Kuno, is a typical kuudere secretary with a Japanese horror look wearing a kimono-style uniform. Syrup and Kuromitsu are twin sisters.

Hidaka's character, Koriji, is the student council treasurer who looks like an elementary school student and is a typical genius hacker, Miyake's character, Burst, is the typical beast-like, muscular, giant student council public relations officer, Fukushima's character, Nishiko Kyoki, is the typical psycho student council general affairs officer, and Midorikawa's character, Sakai Daiki Mark II, is the typical strange, mysterious, unidentified student council general affairs officer.

"Witch Watch" is a comedy manga by Shinohara, who is known for "SKET DANCE" and "Astra Lost in Space." It began serialization in February 2021 in "Weekly Shonen Jump." It depicts the cohabitation life of Wakatsuki Nico, who is training to become a witch, and her childhood friend, Otogi Morihito, a high school student with the powers of a demon. Morihito is given the mission of being a familiar to protect Nico from a prophesied disaster, and so begins the story of a mysterious and difficult future.

The anime will be directed by Hiroshi Ikehata, known for "Kiratto Pri☆Chan," and produced by Vibrant Animation Studio, known for "The Quintessential Quintuplets ∫∫." It will be broadcast on the MBS/TBS Sunday 5pm anime slot starting in April. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
