The first episode of the drama series " Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle? " (TBS, Friday 10pm) starring Hirose Suzu was broadcast on January 24th. Suzu Hirose 's character, Matsukaze Yoshiteru, a lawyer, drew comments on social media such as "He looks great" and "He's a bit quirky, but you'll love him."
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Rito Asami. It is a suspense story where the "love and destiny" of a parent and child involved in a false accusation case intertwines. The daughter of a former police officer whose father was killed on Christmas Eve night seeks out the truth of the case using a letter he left behind as a clue. The story progresses as two cases, the present and the past, are intricately intertwined.
Kokoro Mugi (Hirose) loses her beloved father Haruo (Lily Franky) to the murder of his wife. Tomoya (Narita Ryo), the son of Endo Rikiro ( Yoshi Sakou), the perpetrator of the brutal murder of a wealthy family whom Haruo arrested 22 years ago, is quickly arrested.
At his usual ramen shop, Kokoro Mugi receives an envelope from the owner Someda (Toshiya Sakai) containing a letter left by Haruo. The letter contains the names of several people, including Tomoya, and a statement that if they are suspected, it is a "false accusation." 3 million yen for lawyer's fees is also enclosed.
Kokoromugi visits Matsukaze, the lawyer whose name was mentioned in the letter. However, Matsukaze says, "Honestly, I've never even heard of him. That's scary. How do you know me?"
When asked if the letter was really written by Haruo, Kokoro Mugi answered, "There's no doubt about it... I think so." When Matsukaze asked, "You're only sure that it's true? So it's not 100%, right?" Kokoro Mugi retorted, "It's 100%!"
Matsukaze warned Kokoro Mugi with humor, "That's no good. '100% after-the-fact'." Kokoro Mugi couldn't hide his confusion at the quirky Matsukaze, saying, "What is 100% after-the-fact? I've never heard of it."
On social media, the topic became a hot topic, with comments such as, "Matsuken in Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle? has a great look and character," "Matsuyama Kenichi is so cool... he suits the lawyer role and the glasses so well," "Matsuyama Kenichi's looks are just too good," "Matsuyama Kenichi is really good," and "This is a Matsuken that's quite eccentric, but you'll love him."
