It has been announced that "LAZARUS", an original anime directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, known for the anime "Cowboy Bebop", will be broadcast as a TV anime on TV Tokyo from April. New visuals of the members of the agent team "LAZARUS" have also been released. Lazarus is a team that was gathered to fight against a conspiracy and search for a vaccine for "Hapuna", a miracle drug that spread all over the world but was deadly, and they become saviors for a limited time of one month.
The story is about a team of five agents from around the world, Lazarus, who are pursuing Dr. Skinner, a neuroscientist who developed the painkiller "Hapuna" that causes death three years after taking it, in order to save humanity. Character design will be handled by Akemi Hayashi, who has worked on "BANANA FISH," and the work will be produced by MAPPA.
Mamoru Miyano will play the main character, Axel, who is imprisoned due to a certain incident but repeatedly escapes from prison and whose hobby is escaping from prison. The cast will include Makoto Furukawa, Uchida Maaya, Yuma Uchida, Manaka Iwami, Megumi Hayashibara, Akio Otsuka Akio, and Koichi Yamadera as voice actors.
