Nissin Foods will be broadcasting a free live stream titled "Listen to a Really Scary Story in the Dead of Winter and Your Cup Noodles Will Taste Amazing" on their official YouTube channel from 7pm on January 25th.
Based on the idea that cold weather can be a "topping" that brings out the warmth and deliciousness of "Cup Noodles," the company came up with the "Ghost Story Topping" as a way to make "Cup Noodles" taste even better, by eating "Cup Noodles" while listening to scary stories. The company came up with the idea that if people get even colder by listening to spine-chilling scary stories during the coldest season of the year, Daikan, the coldest time of the year, they would be able to eat "Cup Noodles" even more delicious, and this event was realized.
Six guests will appear on the stream. Horror writer Shimako Iwai, comedian and fortune teller Shuhei Shimada, the unit "Urushi Boys" consisting of television writers Makoto Kishimoto and Yasuhiro Hayase, dangerous zone journalist Gonzales Maruyama, and comedian Masao Yoshii will each share their "scary gems." At the end of the event, all the guests will actually test whether "ghost story toppings" make "Cup Noodles" taste better.
