Information has been announced about the merchandise that will be sold at the theaters screening the early release of the latest work in the popular anime series Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-. A3 clear posters (550 yen), acrylic blocks (1100 yen), and acrylic stands of Amate Yuzuriha, Nyaan, Shuuji Ito, and GQuuuuuuX (1650 yen each) will be on sale.
The pamphlet is available in two versions: deluxe (3,000 yen) and regular (1,200 yen). The deluxe version comes with a special booklet. The pamphlet states, "It contains spoilers, so we recommend opening it after the screening." Aeon Cinema will offer a popcorn and drink set (900 yen) with two postcards.
The first gift for visitors will be a key visual illustration card and a promotional card pack (2 types) for the arcade game "Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base," which will be distributed from January 17th. There will be one promotional card pack of 2 types.
"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX" is a television anime series broadcast on Nippon Television, and ahead of the broadcast, a re-edited version of some episodes, "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-", will be screened in 426 theaters, including IMAX screenings, from January 17th.
"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is the first collaboration between Sunrise, which is responsible for the "Gundam" series, and khara, known for the "Evangelion" series. Kazuya Tsurumaki will be the director, Yoji Enokido will be in charge of series composition, and Ikuto Yamashita will be in charge of mechanical design.
The story is about the protagonist, high school girl Amate Yuzuriha (Machu), who lives a peaceful life in a space colony floating in space, but after meeting a war refugee girl named Nyaan, she becomes embroiled in an illegal mobile suit duel competition, a clan battle... The protagonist's robot, GQuuuuuuX, is a mysterious state-of-the-art mobile suit piloted by Amate Yuzuriha, and participates in clan battles as a robot belonging to the Pomeranians.
Tomoyo Kurosawa plays Amate Yuzuriha, Yui Ishikawa plays Nyaan, a girl who works as an illegal courier, and Shimba Tsuchiya plays Shuuji Ito, a mysterious boy who appears before Machu and Nyaan.
