Solo camp for two:A camping manga that is also being adapted into a live-action TV drama, starring Hamano Daiki and Nizaki Mizuki, will be made into a TV anime starting in July.

It has been announced that Debata Yudai's manga "Futari Solo Camp," currently being serialized in "Morning" (Kodansha), will be adapted into a TV anime series and will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other stations in July. The manga is also the subject of a live-action drama starring Morisaki Win, which will begin airing on TOKYO MX on January 9th. The anime will be directed by Hatori Jun and produced by SynergySP. Hamano Daiki will play the main character, Kinokura Gen, a solo camper who loves solitude, and Nizaki Mizuki will play Kusano Shizuku, a total beginner camper. This will be Nizaki's first regular role in an anime.

The story is about Kinokura Gen, a solo camper who loves solitude, who was enjoying a solo camping trip as usual when he unexpectedly encountered Kusano Shizuku, a complete beginner camper, and the two of them ended up going on a solo camping trip together...

Hamano commented, "Just as his name suggests, Gen is a stubborn man. Although he is not good at dealing with people, when it comes to camping he is more passionate than anyone else and has strong convictions. To play this character, I had to be conscious of a slightly old-fashioned... 'Showa-era dad' feel... but I was careful to portray a charming man who lives for his hobbies and romance. I love people who are passionate about something and straightforward people, so it was a lot of fun playing Gen."

When asked about his feelings about camping, he said, "My memories of camping include a camp at Mt. Tsukuba that I went to as part of a school event in junior high school...and a survival camp in the Blue Mountains that I went to when I was in high school living in Sydney...They weren't solo camping trips, but both are memorable. At Mt. Tsukuba, everyone in my grade gathered around a campfire and had a great time putting on performances...At the high school camp, we brought all our own food, tableware, and camping kit for five days, planned the route from the start to the destination, and survived. Both are very fond memories."

"Since there are many scenes with few characters, we are approaching the dubbing with a very close relationship, like a family. Led by Shimura-san from NA and Shiro-san, the dialect coach, we all have fun saying things like, 'I want to go camping like this' and 'I want to eat this kind of food,' but we are also particularly serious about the production and our acting, and approach every single word we say. It's just so much fun! Fans of 'Two Solo Camps'... and all those who love camping, I believe you will enjoy this film, which is based on the not-so-easy theme of camping. Camping is the best, isn't it? Watch this film, cook, and enjoy camping. And if we ever meet at a campsite somewhere... let's go on a solo camping trip together!"

Nizaki commented, "Didn't you wonder what 'Two Solo Camps' means? Me too. I was attracted to the title when I auditioned and learned about the series, and I was really excited to think I could enjoy learning about camping and cooking all at once! I'm actually an indoor person and have never been camping before, so I'm looking forward to learning the ropes and knowledge about camping together with Shizuku."

"Shizuku can be a little forceful at times, but she is also a very hardworking and honest girl. That's why I tried to bring out all of my honesty in myself. I hope that you will enjoy watching Shizuku grow through the series. Also, the Nagasaki dialect, which appears frequently, is one of Shizuku's cutest points, so I studied it a lot. I hope you will look forward to that as well! And actually, this is my first time as a regular in an anime. I get nervous every time I take part in the recordings, but just like Shizuku and Gen, I feel like I am growing every day with the advice I receive from Hamano.
