71-year-old actress Midori Hagio will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which airs at 1 p.m. on March 31st.
She made her debut while attending Chiba University. At the time, it was rare to see a female actor with a science background from a national university. "Because I have a science background, I hate things that don't make sense," she said, and apparently, in her younger days, she often made defiant statements on set.
When she appeared in her first film, she had a huge argument with the makeup artist on the first day of filming, and found herself in a situation where she couldn't back down. It was Keiko Kishida who came to her rescue at that time. Kuroyanagi also recounted the story, which surprised her. In her private life, she lives with her 41-year-old son and cooks his meals every day.
