NHK "Ooku":Season 1 will be rebroadcast tonight at midnight. The roles of the two sexes will be reversed! "Yoshimune" Tominaga Ai, "Iemitsu" Hotta Mayu, "Tsunayoshi"Riisa Naka will play their best roles.

Season 1 of NHK's "Drama 10 'Ooku'" (General), a live-action adaptation of Yoshinaga Fumi's popular manga, will be rebroadcast late at night on January 1st and 2nd.

"Ooku" is a historical drama set in a parallel world where the male population plummeted to a quarter of that of the female population during the Edo period due to the effects of a rare disease called "red-faced smallpox" that only infects young men, the position of shogun was passed on to a woman, and Ooku became a male world known as "3,000 beautiful men." The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita , who also wrote this year's taiga drama " UNBOUND ."

Season 1 is comprised of the three stories: "The 3rd Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu x Marikoji Ariyoshi", "The 5th Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi x Uemonnosuke", and "The 8th Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune x Mizuno Yunoshin". In addition to Ai Tominaga who played Yoshimune, Mayu Hotta who played Iemitsu, and Riisa Naka who played Tsunayoshi, the performances of Yuto Nakajima Yuto who played Mizuno Yunoshin, Sota Fukushi who played Marikoji Ariyoshi, Koji Yamamoto Yamamoto who played Uemonnosuke, Shihori Kanjiya who played Kano Hisamichi, Yuki Saito who played Kasuga no Tsubone, Kana Kurashina who played Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu, and Touko Miura who played Ieshige also became a hot topic.

Episodes 1 to 3 of "Drama 10 'Ooku'" will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 2:15 a.m. to 4:45 a.m. on January 1st, and episodes 4 to 10 will be broadcast from 11:50 p.m. to 5:05 a.m. on January 2nd.
