Singer Kaori Mizumori appeared at the rehearsal for the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(general and other channels) held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 30th. She mentioned the "Domino Challenge" for the second consecutive year.
Mizumori, who will be participating for the 22nd time, will perform "Tottori Sand Dunes - Red and White Domino Challenge SP". Following on from last year, she will be taking on the challenge of toppling dominoes. "It's even more powerful now, with lots of tricks. I have things I have to do this time too, so I'm excited," she said of the highlights of the event.
He continued, "Last year, I was told that I was following the dominos and couldn't follow the song, but I have to read myself and the timing, and I have to concentrate on the song, but I also have to concentrate on the dominos." He appealed, "There are lots of twists and turns to keep the whole family glued to the TV and enjoying the show, so you won't be able to take your eyes off it from start to finish."
Referring to the "Kendama Challenge," which has become a regular feature of the Kohaku Uta Gassen, he smiled and said, "I hope we can aim for the Guinness World Record together with the kendama of the enka world."
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will be the hosts.
